Compress images
Smaller files. Clear details.
Start with an image
Smaller files. Still your images.
Prepare lighter images for a website, an email or a product listing. Choose an output format and quality, then see each file’s original and processed size before downloading. Your images stay on your device.
Three simple steps
- 01
Add up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images.
- 02
Choose an output format and adjust the quality setting.
- 03
Process the batch, check the results and download files individually or as a ZIP.
Good to know
- JPEG and WebP quality controls use lossy encoding; lower quality can remove visible detail.
- PNG uses lossless encoding, so its quality slider does not reduce file size. Converting a photograph to PNG can make it larger.
- If original-format compression cannot reduce size, the source is kept unchanged. Its original EXIF or GPS metadata may remain. Unchanged 16-bit PNGs also preserve their original precision; ordinary edits use standard 8-bit browser rendering.
- Use static JPG, PNG or WebP images. Animated formats are not supported. Maximum 20 images and 200 MiB per batch; 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels on either edge per image.
A few useful answers
Will compression change image dimensions?
Compression keeps the pixel dimensions. Use Resize if you also want to reduce the width or height.
Is every compressed image smaller?
No. The source encoding and chosen output format affect the result. If original-format compression does not reduce size, the source is kept unchanged and labeled. Choosing a different format can produce a larger file.
Are my images uploaded?
Selecting, processing and downloading files stays in your browser. If you sign in and explicitly save image records, a thumbnail and processing details are stored and can be viewed by you and administrators. Full originals and downloads are not stored.
